Summer Tryouts
We have finished yet another successful season at THUNDER VBC. Naturally everyone’s sights are already set for next season.
In years gone by, THUNDER VBC had conducted summer tryouts after their initial inception. However, we again have collectively as a club decided not to have summer tryouts once again this year. Though in years gone by we have added new talent during said summer tryouts, we feel that they are not necessary or justifiable for our club and its community. As it stands now, Club VB has turned into a year-round thing. After talking to many parents, again, the consensus is that that is way too much. We all feel that summer should be reserved for players and their families to enjoy one another. Many of our players are playing softball, working out with their school VB teams, be it practice or conditioning, summer team camps or individual skills camps, and or scrimmages. This, along with family summer vacations and activities, in our opinion, is enough. We feel that not just the players, but their parents and our staff need a break also.
That all being said, we will return in the fall for tryouts of ALL ages for ALL teams. We are looking forward to having Regional, American and National teams this year. ALL positions for ALL teams will be open for tryouts this fall.
